Apeks Rebels Acquire mithR

Apeks has added yet another tier one caliber member to its organization after signing Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborgas for its academy team’s coach. This move comes after a rather disappointing run for mithR with MOUZ at the PGL Stockholm Major 2021.

With mithR at its helm, MOUZ was able to secure a place at the PGL Stockholm Major. However, following the team’s elimination in the New Legends Stage, rumors of Robin “ropz” Kool leaving loomed and a reshuffle of the roster seemed inevitable. Apeks Rebels and mithR have been in contact since February 2020, where both parties shared the same vision and approach toward the game. In his new home and with his experience at Campus Vejle, an esports college based in Denmark, mithR will be able to help young prospects to flourish and establish them as world class athletes.

The new coach said the following about the move: “I have always been a major fan of Apeks. Ever since aNdz reached out to me in early 2020, I have had a good connection with Apeks, which only grew stronger as I helped them during the Road to Rio Minor Closed Qualifier. Helping them those two weeks leading up to that qualifier and discussing our ambitions and methods, we quickly discovered that we have the same values and beliefs.

I’m going to miss the busy travel schedule, and playing against the best teams in the world, but I also look forward to proving to myself, Apeks, and everyone out there that my style of coaching can grow players from playing local LAN events in Scandinavia and Open Qualifiers into potential world-class athletes”

mithR will replace the team’s current coach, Moren “zeves” Vollan, who will be transferred into another role in the organization. That role has not been disclosed.

Apeks Rebels Roster now consists of:

Steffen “SLY” Amundsen

Tobias “shyyne” Sæther

Ådne “sense” Fredriksen

Even “H0land” Holand

Preben “Trax” Martinsen

Torbjørn ‘mithR’ Nyborg (Coach)
