Complexity complete North American CS return

Complexity’s return to CS:GO was made official today following the signing of the Extra Salt core of Johnny “JT” Theodosiou, Ricky “floppy” Kemery, and Justin “FaNg” Coakley, as well as former Team Liquid rifler Michael “Grim” Wince and Bad News Bear stand-in Paytyn “junior” Johnson. The acquisition marks COL’s return to a North American roster after almost exactly three years away from the organization’s home region, dating back to iBUYPOWER Master 2019 in mid-January.

In early December, multiple reports connected Complexity to the signing of the Copenhagen Flames roster that almost made the PGL Stockholm Major playoffs. Weeks later, HLTV.org reported Complexity had an opportunity to bring in the now-signed roster instead of Copenhagen Flames. After days of silence, it was announced the Flames would retain their roster, leading COL to look elsewhere, eventually landing upon the North American lineup.

The move to Complexity means the five growing players will have a rare set of resources behind them to help elevate their play. Complexity’s owner, Jason Lake, has never been shy about his drive to win in the scene and this move is not only a huge sign of confidence in these players but also the domestic scene. Each individual has shown flashes of brilliance in their short careers, and although the majority saw short stints in tier-one orgs previously, the five players look primed to seize the opportunity at Funspark ULTI Finals.

Complexity’s 2022 roster is:

  • Johnny “JT” Theodosiou
  • Ricky “floppy” Kemery
  • Michael “Grim” Wince
  • Justin “FaNg” Coakley
  • Paytyn “junior” Johnson
  • Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen (Coach)
