Evil Geniuses close to finalizing Stewie2K transfer

Following the initial report by 1pv.fr just under two weeks ago, the two parties are reportedly all set for former Major champion Jake “Stewie2K” Yip to finalize his move to Evil Geniuses’ starting CS:GO lineup to start the 2022 season, sources have told Rush B Media and Max “Purest” Katz. Stewie looks to renew himself within the new team following a forgettable final year with Liquid and return to the winning ways of 2018 when he famously helped Cloud9 win North America’s first and only CS:GO Major.

EG has not rounded out the roster in its entirety, but Stewie2K will be joining tenured members Vincent “Brehze” Canyonte and Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov, who have their sights set on returning to the peaks they once enjoyed on the lineup, including a three-week stint as HLTV’s No. 1 team in the world. The two can look forward to working with perhaps the winningest player in North America’s CS history to create another championship team.

With Stewie2K joining Brehze and CeRq at EG, the lineup has two available roster spots left. Although the official announcements have not come through, reports have linked Stewie’s Major-winning teammate Timothy “autimatic” Ta and Danish star Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså to the final two starting positions within the lineup.

After Stewie’s signing, Evil Geniuses looks like this:

  • Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte
  • Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov
  • Jake “Stewie2K” Yip
  • Damien “maLeK” Marcel (Coach)
