After a week of rebuilding, Apeks has finalized the 2022 roster with the signing of fan-favorite Martin “STYKO” Styk. The addition comes as the final step in the team’s rebuilding process, recently adding Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad and Hugo “chawzyyy” Günther.

The 25-year-old joins the international roster after an up-and-down tenure with FunPlus Phoenix that ended in the team’s benching. Although the team didn’t accomplish what they sought, STYKO was still able to showcase his ability as not only a capable rifler but also a rare talent as a supportive rifler as well.

The Slovakian rifler makes another move to an international roster with hopes of reaching even newer heights than he’s previously seen. “Feeling definitely confident about joining Apeks. The most important points for me were definitely the visions of the project as well as the line-up that I will be working with.”

STYKO will be joining a lineup with a load of experience, but it is the prospect that he is most excited about. “Despite having a lot of known and proven players around me, I’m most excited about working with our young-gun “chawzyyy”. He is the talent I would like to work with and help him develop into a star.”

Apeks’ Head of Esports, Anders Kjaer, comes into the new season with high expectations. “With this team, I have one big goal, and that is reaching the Majors. We have never had a team as good as this, and we know they can do even more than they have done before.”

Apeks’ completed roster is now:

  • Asger “AcilioN” Larsen
  • Tim “nawwk” Jonasson
  • Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad
  • Hugo “chawzyyy” Günther
  • Martin “STYKO” Styk
  • Pål “Polly” Kammen (Coach)
