RBG Esports have added Jordon “jitter” Ruggiero, with the player joining the team from Secret Club, who were down to only three players at the start of the Premier season. jitter replaces Anthony “CLASIA” Kearney on the starting roster.
This marks the end of jitter’s second stint with Secret Club, having departed the team in April after almost a year and re-joining in June. With Secret Club, jitter won ESEA Spring Cash Cup #5 with a resounding 2-0 finish in the final. However, the team was unable to secure playoff results in their previous two Premier seasons, placing 11-12th and 9-10th.
CLASIA leaves RBG Esports on a relatively high note, finishing Season 36 in 3rd place and Season 37 in 5-6th. CLASIA was RBG’s newest member, only joining the team in April of this year, with the core of wiz, HexT, and Walco dating back to 2019. Just prior to his departure, RBG secured another 2nd place finish in an ESEA Cash Cup, marking their second in a row.
Joining CLASIA on departing the roster is the team’s coach Troy “ara” Pollock who has been with them since late January. His replacement is Tommy “Axed” Ryan who briefly coached Secret Club in February but has been mostly inactive since except a brief stint as a player on floppy’s team during the Mythic Content Cup.
Secret Club first participated in Premier in Season 35 where they finished an incredible 3rd place. However, the team was unable to recreate a similar placement in any season since. With their third member leaving, Secret Club is down to two players and has forfeited the rest of their matches in ESEA Premier Season 38. Secret Club used a wildcard on their first game this season hoping to finish a rebuild in time for the rest of the tournament. Nicholas “hate” Young has stated that Secret Club is unable to field a roster due to ESL rules around emergency roster changes. The remaining two members of Secret Club, hate and Ethan “reck” Serrano, are now looking for a team to represent.
