After the recent addition of Victor “Staehr” Staehr, Sprout’s roster for the upcoming season bares completion with the acquisition of Max “Marix” Kugener from organization-less team CC OGLUM.
The 18-year-old Luxembourgish-Ukrainian player will be the final player required to fill the vacant spots in the German organization’s roster. During his spell with CC OGLUM, Marix was able to retain a spot in ESEA Advanced as well as claiming the championship title in the final season of the 99Damage League. By finishing the UNITED Pro Series 2021 with a 1.28 rating, Marix and his team CC OGLUM were also able to finish third. Being an essential player for them, his performance did not go unnoticed as he was called up to the higher echelons by Sprout.
Marix said the following about his new step in his career: “For many people, my joining Sprout is an unexpected move but I’m happy to be given this chance! I’m sure together with our new squad, we will show our potential and reach new heights. Also, this is a great chance to prove that young talents are the future. This is also a big step for me in terms of my personal life, since I have moved to Germany, so we can continue to compete in German leagues.”
Despite losing two key players, one of them being their star player for over four years in the person of Josef “faveN” Baumann, Sprout is keen to replicate their successful run at the end of the year finishing twentieth in the HLTV World Ranking, with their addition of Max “Marix” Kugener and Victor “Staehr” Staehr which Rush B Media also reported on.
His newly teammate Ramus “slaxz-” Dietrich added about Marix: “I am very happy that we signed Marix he’s probably the most outstanding talent in the German scene right now, and I’m sure he will prove it to everyone very soon that he deserve this big chance.”
Sprout’s newly completed roster is now:
- Timo “Spiidi” Richter
- Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich
- Rasmus “raalz” Steensborg
- Victor “Staehr” Staehr
- Max “Marix” Kugener
- Danny ‘BERRY’ Krüger (Coach)
