Sprout have secured the fourth member for their CS:GO roster, inking OPAA rifler Victor “Staehr” Staehr to a deal, the team has announced. Staehr’s signing comes on the back of the departure of two of its members with Josef “faveN” Baumann recently being acquired by BIG and Kamil “KEi” Pietkun opting to part ways after the conclusion of his trial period.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity to play with such experienced and very skilled players.” said Staehr, continuing on to add “As well as, I am super excited to get started with the new lineup and to be a part of this amazing organization. I do believe that together we can go far, and I’m happy for how well they have welcomed me. On that note: I’m really looking forward to 2022 and the upcoming challenges!”

“I am excited to work with Staehr again, a very talented and hardworking player” commented Staehr’s former in-game leader on OPAA and now coach of Sprout, Danny “BERRY” Krüger. Together they won Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 18 and the Esportal Anker Tournament with Staehr being the highest rated player in both tournaments, securing a 1.45 and 1.26 HLTV rating respectively. Krüger continued to say “I believe with his potential, we can bounce back and even reach new heights.”

The Danish 17-year-old is also coming off a year where he averaged a 1.08 rating and has notably ended the 2021 season on a strong note, posting a 1.17 rating in the last three months. Staehr is set to make his Sprout debut at the Spring season of ESL Meisterschaft which starts on the 17th later this month where they will aim to secure qualification to IEM Cologne and EPL Conference.
